How much do your legs weigh?

Search
: how much do legs weigh

Why:
Vin: Isn't the dumb slut only 50% of a dumb slut?
me: What do you mean? Is she an amputee?
Vin: The legs do not account for 50% of a person.
me: They might. Your femur alone makes up 27% of your height.
Answer: Uch, nobody freaking knows.

On NetWellness:
The weight of the leg will depend on the body type of the person. People with a more muscular body type will have a heavier leg than those whose body is made up of more fatty tissue. Some types of severe swelling such as lymphedema will add a significant amount to the weight of the leg. In general the leg is approximately 9-10% of the weight of the entire body.
On Answers.com (via WiiFit):
Wii fit says your legs represent 40% of your body,
On Answers.com:
According to my biomechanics instructor the leg weighs approximately W/7. Where W is the total body weight.
Source: Nobody, useless

The More You Know: I don't know where I got that 27% number, but I have had it in my brain for at least a decade. According to forensic anthropologists, the real formula is:
height approximately = femur height times 2 & 2/3
So my femur should be 24.7 inches long? I don't know about that. Somebody get me a ruler.
