Great news for parents and their children on NCL cruises. Nickelodeon, the major children’s' entertainment brand, has teamed up with NCL and will be featuring on many NCL departures 2010/2011.This is major coup for NCL and must be ruffling a few feathers over at Royal Caribbean. This will a huge attraction for families as brands don’t get much bigger in children’s entertainment than Nickelodeon.....
Parents are going to want to book a cruise that is great for their kids, and with the backing of a huge children’s entertainment channel, I don’t think NCL can go to wrong.
Nickelodeon-themed cruises will start with the Norwegian Jewel from New York this season and the Norwegian Epic from Miami this summer. Nickelodeon's television channel is seen by 100 million households, so it will be music to their ears to hear that Nick character meets, interactive game shows, breakfasts, dance parties, show premieres, and even Nick characters will be onboard. Just think how many children will be watching their show's after school, seeing an advert for NCL, and bugging their parents relentlessly to go on the cruise. I know I would of done. So we will have to see just how successful this goes, but I don’t Think NCL has too much to worry about. Who knows, we may even see another other big American cruise line following suit with maybe cartoon network! Only time will tell.
