Salou, on the Costa Dorada, became infamous earlier this spring after thousands of British university students descended on it for the annual Saloufest. Newspapers in both Britain and Spain gave columns of coverage as the festival descended into anarchy, with hordes of drunken and scantily clad students in the streets.
New by-laws introduced by the Salou Town Council stipulate that members of the public who violate the ban will be fined between €100 (£81) and €300 (£245). Those caught drinking alcohol on the streets or having sex on the beach could also be prosecuted. Beachwear will be banned from all but beachfront bars and restaurants.

Ed. Be great to have similar cover up laws in malls and restaurants in Pattaya.
